Hotel

The 3-star hotel is located at the center of Keszthely city. It  is 100 meters from the Main square which was completely renovated in recent years.

All facilities and equipment of the hotel  are maintained in good condition and are functioning smoothly.  A complete reconstruction works were carried out three years ago.

The hotel offers a family atmosphere to everybody. There are 26 rooms in total. These include 1 single room, 1 triple room, 2 family rooms (living rooms with two beds each) and 22 double rooms.

The rooms are equipped with modern bathtubs and air conditioners, comfortable beds, wardrobes, desks, chairs, flat- screen TVs, mini- bars.

200- hundred years old wine cellar was reconstructed into a unique restaurant which is now  located on the first level of the hotel. The restaurant’s furniture consists of old presses, barrels, authentic wooden tables and items related to winemaking.

A restaurant for eighty people is popular among hotel guests, who usually order “a la carte” dishes for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is committed to serving healthy food which is directly delivered by some small local  bio- farms.

A team of excellent chefs, working in a well- equipped kitchen, serve both Hungarian and international dishes. Here you can also taste wines from various impressive wine collections.

The restaurant has established a high reputation among the residents of the city and environs.

The restaurant can  also be  a great place for organizing festivals (graduations, weddings, birthdays etc) , as it offers a unique location and guarantees a quality service to its guests along with the delicious dishes and drinks.

Wine museum

The third component of the hotel’s popularity is a wine museum, located next to the restaurant, on the first level, at one of the side branches of the old wine cellar.

Winemaking is a tradition in Hungary that dates back to more than two thousand years. As far as 300 BC , grapes were grown on the territory of present- day Hungary and winemaking, supported by the Romans,  was flourishing. The use of grapes as well as wine had been an essential part of everyday life. The tradition has strengthened in recent decades due to favourable climate, prevailing in the country, and dedicated winemaking professionals. This led to a wide recognition of Hungarian wine across the world.

The hotel’s wine museum pays tribute to viticulture and winemaking.

62,000 liter wine containers, covered with glass tiles and  on top of which funnels for pouring nectar are clearly visible, became the exhibition halls of the wine museum.

The wine museum features more than 1000 various original tools that demonstrate the centuries- old traditions of growing grapes and winemaking. Such an exhibition will definitely adorn any serious exhibition of local history.
